Infant Toddler Developmental Specialist /ITDS
An ITDS is a non-licensed provider of Early Intervention Services.
The ITDS focuses on infant/toddler development and ways to promote development and learning, including designing learning environments and activities to promote development across all domains.
The ITDS, in consultation with other early intervention providers on the child and family’s team, assists the family in understanding the special needs of the child and enhancing the child’s development.
1. Performing interventions to achieve outcomes on the IFSP, assessments, plans of care, daily notes, caregiver coaching, and team participation.
2. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
3. Previous pediatric experience is highly recommended. Fill out the certificate of experience provided here.
4. Have reliable transportation to travel between patient’s houses.
5. Willing to complete the CMS Early Steps ITDS and Orientation modules not later than 3 weeks after being hired.
6. Willing to complete 25 hours shadowing All Steps Count current providers.
7. After being hired all providers are required to complete the following trainings through Early Steps:
– FL-EPIC Training (Note – Services provided in a clinic setting and/or providers only providing consultation are exempt from this training).
– New Provider Orientation Training Child Outcome Summary (COS).
– Authentic Assessment Tools • Including Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children (AEPS).
– Individualize Family Support Plan (IFSP) Training.
– Autism Navigator® for Early Intervention Providers.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in early childhood or early childhood/special education, child and family development, family life specialist, communication sciences, psychology or social work .
