Toys

A toy is something that a child or adult uses to play with. The toy can be an item sold or created at home or an imagined item (with one object that is used to prevent that object).

The use of toys varies from entertainment to educational. During the child’s development, the proper use of a toy can help to increase focus, curiosity, imagination, cognitive skills, language, and much more…

A toy can be something created or an object that can be used to learn something, there is no need to have a toy from the store to obtain the last mentions skills.

For example, with a “Potato Head,” a child can learn about body parts, but with an object such as a mirror, he can look at himself and learn about body parts.

Also, with a pet, a child can learn about body parts. Another example can be with a box of wipes.

The child can learn:

– verbs.

– Opposites.

– Adjectives, such as “wet vs. dry, open vs. close, heavy vs. light.

– Numbers (one wipe/two wipes).

– Noise (wipes bags vs. wipes box), in vs. out)

– Simple commands such as give the wipes, put the box of wipes in/on/on top the table/trash, give the wipes to Mami, hold the bag on wipes.

When the baby is young, until 6 or 7, the best way to play with them is with interactive things that help their cognitive development.

As we mentioned before, with simple stuff you have at home or cheap and simple toys you can find in the stores, it is possible to interact and teach new talents,
such as motor skills, language, colors, numbers, the alphabet, etc.

Going out and showing them the sun, the rain, plants, and animals is another good way to expose them to the world and teach them what is outside.

Remember. Your child is like a sponge and can absorb everything you do with them.

Don’t expose them long time on the TV or other electronic devices that don’t allow their connection with the real world.
